the blankets you made look amazing!! also, i definitely belong to the arya camp so i am forever fascinated by those who can weave and make art with threads
Great article (and blanket!), which reminds me of my mom, an expert seamstress. Unfortunately, I got a "D" in junior high sewing class! Maybe that's why I turned away from that and focused more on art. But, I often think of mom's sewing when I work on things like collage, piecing stuff together for art works. And I think of book binding and sketchbook making as somehow connected to sewing.

Thanks so much! I’ve been looking at slow-stitching because it doesn’t need to be so structured.
Thank you so much for sharing! Your blanket is beautiful. Did you crochet or knit it? I’m currently working on a temperature blanket.
The blankets were crocheted. I find crochet more fun than knitting!
I’ve heard of a temperature blanket. Post it when you’re done! I’d love to see it.
Yes, I agree crochet is easier! My blanket won’t be finished until early January and I’ll definitely post it. I did write about it a few months ago here: https://barbnatividad.substack.com/p/temperature-blanket

Thanks, Jean! Luisa Igloria does beautiful bookbinding.
I didn't know that about Luisa!
